Good morning and welcome to Mining Stock Daily. Today we run through some of the headlines out of the sector and also visit with two companies which was recorded during my time at Beaver Creek last week. Welcome to Mining Stock Daily.
Today is Tuesday, September 17th.
After having another $14 removed from its valuation level of Friday, the price of gold popped as much as $23 on Monday on news of the Saudi oil field bombing early Monday morning. The Mining Stock Journal commented that the bullion bank price containment team went to work when the Comex floor trading opened Monday morning, working to push the paper price of gold down during the balance of U.S. market hours. It's significant, however, the price comfortably held $1500 on a front-month futures basis. Silver managed to climb back over $18 on a futures contract basis.
